Juliane Bye Andersen

Juliane Andersen is a part of Kvale’s Employment department. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Bergen. During her studies, she also completed an exchange program at Stockholm University, where she took elective courses in International Criminal Law and International Commercial Dispute Resolution.

Juliane works broadly within both individual and collective employment law, and has significant experience with whistleblowing cases, drafting employment contracts, restructuring and downsizing processes, dismissals, terminations, sick leave, and personnel disputes. She has experience with employment law issues under the Working Environment Act, the Ship Labour Act, and the Civil Servants Act. Juliane has worked on a number of complex and extensive whistleblowing cases in both the private and public sectors, for example related to harassment, discrimination, workplace environment issues, etc. This has given her substantial experience with the challenges that typically arise in such cases.

In 2024 and 2025, Juliane completed a secondment assignment with Virke – the Federation of Norwegian Enterprise, which is the principal organization for the trade and service industries. During this period, Juliane gained valuable insight and experience in one of the country’s largest employer organizations. She carried out a wide range of tasks within both collective and individual employment law. During this time, Juliane gained deep insight into collective employment law and handled a variety of collective agreements across different sectors. In addition to her employment law expertise, Juliane also has competence in several adjacent legal areas, such as the Holiday Act, data protection legislation, and the National Insurance Act.

Juliane also has solid experience working efficiently and thoroughly on complex cases, and she is committed to delivering in line with the client’s wishes and needs within short deadlines. Furthermore, Juliane also has litigation experience.
