Juliane Bye Andersen

Juliane Andersen is affiliated with Kvale’s Employment Law department. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Bergen. During her studies, she also completed an exchange programme at Stockholm University, where she took elective courses in International Criminal Law and International Commercial Dispute Resolution.

Juliane works broadly within both individual and collective employment law, and has substantial experience with whistleblowing cases, drafting employment contracts, restructuring and downsizing processes, dismissals, summary dismissals, sickness absence, and personnel disputes. She has experience handling employment law matters under the Working Environment Act, the Ship Labour Act, and the Civil Servants Act. Juliane has worked on a number of complex and extensive whistleblowing cases in both the private and public sectors, including cases involving harassment, discrimination, and workplace environment issues. This has provided her with considerable insight into the challenges that typically arise in such matters.

In 2024 and 2025, Juliane undertook a secondment assignment with Virke – the Federation of Norwegian Enterprise, which is the principal organisation for the trade and service industries. During this period, she gained valuable insight and experience from working within one of Norway’s largest employer organisations. Her responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks within both collective and individual employment law.
