Kvale announces the appointment of four new Partners

Kvale is delighted to announce the appointment of four new Partners and two new Lawyers in the Firm, effective from 1st January 2017.

Andreas Stang Lund has experience from the City Advocate (Nw: Kommueadvokaten) in Oslo and as in-house lawyer in DNB, where Stang Lund was head of DNB`s litigation department. He has extensive experience with disputes both before the Court and before Arbitral Tribunals. Throughout his practice, Andreas Stang Lund advices corporations in general business law as well as disputes involving property law and public law. Stang Lund has been entitled to conduct cases before the Supreme Court since 2005 and is recommended by Legal 500 under the category “Dispute resolution”. Stang Lund comes from the position as Partner in the firm Hjort and will join our Dispute Resolution Team.

3 Partners and 2 lawyers join our firm from the law firm Kyllingstad Kleveland, where they today are engaged in an integrated department, primarily specialized within shipping, which will be their primary focus in Kvale as well. This concerns:

Lasse Hagen has more than 30 years of experience with maritime law. He has previous experience from Nordisk Skibsrederforening, Fina Petroleum, BA-HR and NIFS. Hagen advises offshore shipping companies and has extensive national and international litigation experience. Hagen is regularly used as arbitrator.

Kristian Lindhartsen has previously worked in Thommesen and Gard. He has extensive experience in maritime law, with a particular expertise within insurance disputes. He also works with distressed cases and other issues related to structuring of equity by sale/leaseback transaction.

Jostein Moen has previously worked in Thommesen and Nicolaisen & Co. Moen works mainly with Transactions (in particular related to M&A, IPOs, asset sales and sale/leaseback transactions). Moen also assists in disputes in the shipping industry and related industries. In addition, Moen has experience working with restructuring distressed cases

In addition, Lilly Kathrin Relling will join our firm as Senior Lawyer, and Preben Helverschou will join our firm as Senior Associate. They both have extensive experience within shipping and offshore related matters.  

These appointments will expand Kvale´s competence within shipping, and bring substantial value to our many restructuring projects. We also believe that new clients will benefit from the broad variety of legal services offered by Kvale.
